PostSubject: Guide to getting a Fire cape.   Guide to getting a Fire cape. Icon_minitimeMon Sep 13, 2010 2:01 pm

Ok, so I know there isn't 63 waves, but just incase he adds them (I suggested it) I made all 63 so that it will still help, but for now just read the bottom.

In this guide I'm going to show you how to get to TzTok-Jad and also how to defeat him for your very own Fire Cape.

Note: SOME OF THE PICTURES ARE FROM ANOTHER SERVER BUT DO WORK RESPECTIVELY.

This guide is going to be represented in 4 Stages that will help you considerably.

Stage 1: Preperation
Chapter 1: Requirements
Chapter 2: Item's to Wear and Bring
Chapter 3: Getting There

Stage 2: Getting to TzTok-Jad
Chapter 1: Monster Identification
Chapter 2: Location and Advice
Chapter 3: Wave List

Stage 3: Fighting TzTok-Jad
Chapter 1: Preparing for the Fight
Chapter 2: Identifying Attacks
Chapter 3: The Yt-Hurkot's

Stage 4: Using the Guide
Chapter 1: Tips on How to Take Full Advantage of the Guide

Each stage and chapter will be complemented with pictures and specific details that will help you along the way. (With the exception of stage 4.)

Please note that this guide is for people who are seriously considering getting a Fire Cape and are willing to put the time in to read this whole guide and understand it.

Stage 1: Preperation

Chapter 1: Requirements
To be able to complete the Fight Pits succesfully there are a number of stat requirements needed depending on your style of character.

One Defense Pures: You must have 99 Range and Health. You must also have at least 40 prayer.

For 45 Defense pures: You must have 99 Range and Health. 52 Prayer is reccomended but 40 is required.

For Non-Pure Characters: 99 Range and Health. 70 Prayer is reccomended.

*Please note that the basic requirements stat wise are 99 Range and Health, and 40 prayer.

Chapter 2: Item's to Wear and Bring
The below pictures will explain what each type of character should wear and also bring in their inventory.

-->THE BELOW PICTURES CONTAIN 2000 RUNE ARROWS, PLEASE USE MORE - 4 to 5k, or Rune C'Bow and 2k+ Rune Bolts<--

One Defence Pures: This is what you should wear.

For 45 Defense Pures and over:

*Note that the above picture is for 45 Defence Pures and people that are of a high Defense level.
*Those are Rune arrows, they just look like Iron's. Razz
For all types of character the below picture of an inventory is reccomended.

I used this inventory, you can change with Ranging potions, ect.

Or you can use the Guthan's Method -

Chapter 3: Getting There
To get to the Fight Pits you can use the normal mini-game teleport. Follow the lines and arrows on the pictures below to get to the Entrance.

From there, follow the BLUE lines on the pictures of the mini-map above. Once you enter the cave the mini-game starts so make sure you're prepared and ready.

Stage 2: Getting to TzTok-Jad

Chapter 1: Monster Identification
This chapter will provide you with pictures of each monster inside the Fight Pits and a description of each aswell as tell you how to take them down.

Tz-Kih: Level 22. Class: Melee. Max hit: 1.
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 7

The Tz-Kih is a flaming bird thing that drains your prayer by 1 every time it attacks you. It can hit a 0 and this will still happen. I reccomend you kill these in the Beggining of each round if something stronger isn't attacking you.

Tz-Kek: Level 22 and 45. Class: Melee. Max hit: 1.
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 8
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 9

These two are both called Tz-Kek because there are actually the same monster. When you kill the Level 45 version (the large purple one) he spawns 2 of the smaller, level 22 ones. These are to be dealt with last always, because they do not hit more then 1 and not very often.

Tok-Xil: Level 90. Class: Range. Max hit: 15.
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 10

This little bugger can be annoying at times, especially to those of low defense. They use a range attack that maxes out at 15 and usually hits between 5 and 11. He doesn't hit all the time though but should be taken care of second, after the Tz-Kih.

Yt-MejKot: Level 180. Class: Melee. Max hit: 15.
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 11

The Yt-MejKot has many ways to be defeated, the best of all is while standing in the location described in Stage: 2, Chapter 2: Location and Advice. The Yt-MejKot heals itself for 10 hp every few seconds but only if he is hitting you. Using the location in Chapter 2 he Won't be able to hit you or heal himself.

Ket-Zek: Level 360. Class: Mage and melee. Max hit: 60.
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 12

This frog-looking monster is the highest level monster in the Fight Pits, besides TzTok-Jad. He uses a deadly mage attack when at a range and will use mage in combonation with melee if you're close to him. To kill him, pray Magic and stay away from him to avoid his melee attacks. With Magic Protect on he won't be able to hit anything but zeros on you. More about defeating him without using prayer is described in Chapter 2.

TzTok-Jad: Level 702. Class: Range/Mage/Melee. Max hit: 99.
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 13

If you make it to wave 63 you'll find yourself facing TzTok-Jad. How to fight him is described in Stage 3: Fighting TzTok-Jad.

Chapter 2: Location and Advice
In this chapter I will show you where you should be standing all the way up until you get to wave 63 and also what to do in particular situations regarding monster loacation.

Full Screen image of where to stand for the Jad -
Guide to getting a Fire cape. 15

The blue area of the mini-map above is where you start out upon entering the Fight Pits. The green arrows on the mini-map and picture show you where to go. Take note that this particular appendage of the map is on the North side.

While standing in this exact spot no monster can attack you except for the Tok-Xil(90) and Ket-Zek(360) and that is only if they manage to spawn right next to you.(Which can happen but is unlikely.)

Take a mental note of where each of the spots on the mini-map are so that you know wether a level 90 or 360 can attack you. MOST of the time the level 360 will spawn to the west of you, where he can't fight back.

I reccomend using this spot after wave 15 when the level 108's start appearing. But before then just stand in the middle of the map and kill the monsters as they come to you.

Chapter 3: Wave List
In this chapter i will provide you with a list of all 63 waves and what monsters appear in them.

Wave number: # of monsters x level of that monster

Remember -> To see which wave you are on, type ::tzhaar.

Wave 1: 1x22

Stage 3: Fighting TzTok-Jad

Chapter 1: Preparing For the Fight
In this chapter i will tell you how to prepare yourself for the fight with Jad.

Once you get to wave 63 (you kill the two 360's and the number changes from 62 to 63) LOG OUT! This does NOT reset your mini-game and has almost no effect on it. The advantage to doing this is that you get full hp back and you get a 15 seconds repreive from the fight upon log in. This gives you time to log back in, use your range pot, get full prayer back, and turn run on.

*Note that you are still on the North side of the map.

Chapter 2: Idetifying Attacks
In this chapter i will tell you how to identify Jad's attacks and decide which prayer to use.

Once you have gone through Chapter 1 above and are in place, turn on your Protect from Magic Prayer and then wait until Jad spawns. In Deltascape, Jad can't attack you from all the way across the map and he always spawns in the center of the map. This gives you the chance to be ready for him as he walks up to attack you. As long as you keep your distance and make him come to you, he won't get close enough to melee you.

In the beggining of the fight, keep Protect from Magic on. ONLY switch to Protect from Ranged if he slams his front two legs down. If the attack is mage, he will keep his legs up and you are already prepared, if it is a ranged attack, switch to Protect from Ranged and wait for the attack to hit a 0. As soon as it hits the 0 switch back to Protect from Magic. This will keep you ready for any attack

I've recently figured out that you can kill the Yt-Hurkot's and they will stay dead. If you decide to kill them, remember that the priority is watching Jad's movements. If the fight lasts long enough that you must use a Prayer Potion, Use only one dose, and wait for his next attack to be identified before doing so. This will keep you alive.

Now that he's coming to you, keep your prayer book open and watch his front legs! If he picks his legs up and keeps them up, expect a mage attack and leave your mage pray on, if he picks his legs up and slams them down, expect a ranged attack and switch to your range prayer. Now leave your prayer on and RIGHT AFTER you have the appropriate prayer on right click and attack him. Now all you have to do is watch his legs and switch your prayers accordingly.

Chapter 3: The Yt-HurKot's
In this chapter i will tell you how to deal with the Yt-HurKot's.( 108 )

Once you have Jad at half health, four Yt-HurKot's will spawn, 3 will attack you and one will get stuck behind Jad. You must attack each of the three attacking you ONCE. Do NOT kill them! they will just respawn and keep attacking you and healing Jad. I reccomend doing this one at a time so you can keep paying attention to Jad and keep prayers going.

Once you have the three Yt-HurKot's on you, go back to attacking Jad. Soon enough he will fall over and die. Just leave the 108's there and WAIT to be teleported out. A few seconds after Jad dies you will be teleported out of the Fight Pits and receive a Fire Cape and 6000 Tokkul in your inventory. Make sure that you have 2 spaces of inventory room for these once Jad is dead.

Congratulations on your new Fire Cape!

Stage 4: Using the Guide

Chapter 1: Tips on How to Take Full Advantage of the Guide]

Now that you have read the whole guide and have a sense of what to do inside the mini-game, it's time to make sure you know what to do.

After Wave 62, Just before Jad spawns and you logout, come back to this guide and read over what to do with Jad. Make sure you know what your doing and have a good idea of what to do incase of certain events. You can also do this after any wave of your choice! Just wait until your Wave number changes and then logout. This will save your progress and alow you to continue the fight at any time. This works even if you get Disconnected during a fight.

This is the end of my guide. Thanks for taking the time to read the whole thing and I hope it helps you out.

If anyone has any questions or comments, please leave a reply here on the forums.

Rep++ and Thank if you like this guide, will add more soon. Tell some requests. I'll see if it can happen.

New: Informative video on the Jad's attacks.

Note: This is NOT my video, this is a very helpful youtube video to show the difference between attacks. I am not trying to take reputation for this video in ANY way at all. Thank you. Enjoy -
